Michael Laszek
Crowley ISD Trustee Place 3
General
The trustee elected in 2024 to Place 3 left the role in 2025, two years before the end of the term in 2027. A special election to fill the seat was called to occur at the next available election cycle in 2026.
In the interim, the CISD Board of Trustees called for applicants to fill the seat until the next election cycle. Michael is honored to have been selected and appointed. The experience has strengthened his commitment to public service, and he is now seeking the CISD community’s support in this special election to continue the work he has begun.
Michael is running in the special election on May 2, 2026 to fill the Place 3 trustee seat as an elected official.
Michael recognizes that Crowley ISD has made significant progress in recent years, even if those improvements aren’t always visible to the community.
He sees a team of educators and staff who work incredibly hard and diligently every day to serve students, support teachers, and strengthen families.
While challenges remain, he believes the district is moving in the right direction — and he wants to help accelerate that momentum.
With a background in quality assurance and corporate problem‑solving, Michael brings a systems‑focused mindset to the board.
He hopes to apply these skills to strengthen district processes, help lead data‑driven decision‑making, and support transparency and visibility of progress.
His goal is to help ensure that improvements are consistent, measurable, and aligned with the needs of families and staff.
Michael knows that when students thrive, the whole community benefits. But lasting success for kids depends on having solid academic systems in place. When those systems are strong, they empower great teachers and strong schools — and that’s how we build a strong future for our students.
His three children who attend Crowley ISD campuses already benefit from the hard work of the CISD educators and can think of no better way to honor their work than to contribute with dedicated service.
Michael is committed to serving all children, educators, and families of Crowley ISD.
Michael believes Crowley ISD students deserve an education that prepares them to stand confidently on the biggest national and global stages—whether that’s in boardrooms, government, vocational and technical, military service, or any field they choose.
He believes students should feel empowered, respected, and proud of the essential roles they will play in our community and world.
